We are a family farm/ranch raising cow/calf pairs as well as dryland wheat, barley, lentils, and alfalfa. We are seeking a long-term employee for all aspects of farm and ranch work including:
- feeding cattle
- identifying and treating sick cattle
- fence building and repair
- gathering and moving cattle with horses and/or ATVs
- evaluating pasture conditions
- haying, including swathing, raking, baling, and moving bales
- driving semi truck on the farm and to the grain elevator
- various farming duties depending on skills and experience
- equipment, vehicle, and facilities maintenance
This is a remote, rural location with very limited cell service. It’s nine miles of gravel road to the nearest town, which is a friendly and supportive community with a population of 200, a K-12 school, and basic services. Our pastures and fields are in extremely isolated areas with steep terrain, so applicants should be prepared for tough physical conditions and independent work. We only hire one employee outside the family.
Housing and utilities provided. We pay a fair wage that is dependent on level of experience. We are not able to sponsor foreign workers at this time.
