Equine farm consists of 132 acres/4 ponds, private facility with 44 horses, no outside or boarded horses-closed farm. Horses only, no other animals, at this time.
PAY IS COMMENSURATE WITH ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE AND MATURITY.
I am seeking a person or working couple (NON SMOKERS ONLY) that is an all-around knowledgeable handyman and has at least reasonable equine experience.
NOTE-prepping this farm and horses for marketing prior to RELOCATING TO FL. I will be putting this farm located in NE Texas for sale ASAP after clean up, then plan to move to FL and build a new farm in central FL.
There are $14,000 in bonus funds. Initially, there will be a time period of about 5-8 weeks to perform maintenance and repairs for marketing the ranch, then sell here and ideally you will assist with the Florida move, build new equine facilities and remain on the new farm permanently caring for the horses and facilities (I have totally built two farms in CO and TX in the past and look forward to the future FL adventure).
POSITION IS PERMANENT. Live on site, all utilities included (including high speed internet, TV with 210 channels/Dish TV), limited space on this farm, minimal room for children except the possibility of one child. I do have hookups for an RV. Pay is commensurate with responsibility, abilities and experience.
The needs of the horses come first, period.
PRIMARY MAINTENANCE & REPAIR DUTIES: minor fencing, tree cutting, mowing pastures with 15 foot batwing shredder, tractor/loader operating, weed eating fence lines, cleaning barns, small amount of metal roofing to replace on one barn, power washing facilities inside and out, minor carpentry/electrical/plumbing, welding and straightening damaged gates and panels. Must possess general mechanical and maintenance abilities.
Seeking a person that realizes and believes that "thinking first" and then "working hard" is the correct method to do a project.
