I own a farm property outside Arlington and I am looking for one experienced person to take care of it. Not a specialist – someone who has been around construction long enough to handle most of what a property throws at them.

What the work looks like:

  • General repair and upkeep across the property, buildings, and grounds
  • Framing, siding, decks, doors, windows, drywall, trim, paint – rough to finish
  • Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting and repair (anything requiring a licensed contractor gets bid out – I will handle that)
  • Landscaping and grounds: mowing, brush, fencing, drainage, gravel, tree work
  • Equipment and small engine upkeep
  • Occasional projects start to finish, with me remote and available by phone

Who I am looking for:

  • 10+ years hands-on in construction or property maintenance
  • Comfortable working alone, figuring things out, and telling me when something is over your head
  • Own hand tools and a truck
  • Valid license, reliable, shows up
  • Bonus: tractor or skid steer, welding, well and septic familiarity

The setup:

  • About 25 acres of working property near Arlington/Darrington
  • Full-time, year-round, W-2
  • Starting at $1,000/week, $1,400+/week for the right person
  • Housing on the property is something I would consider down the road for the right long-term person
  • I am based in Seattle, so I need someone who runs the place without being managed day to day

TO APPLY:

If that is you, email me with what you have worked on and a couple of references. Photos of your work are worth more than a resume.
