Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Ranch Hand to join our operation in North Texas. This is a full-time position with on-site housing potentially available. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hay production, operating heavy machinery, and performing equipment repairs. This role requires someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, and capable of handling a variety of ranch duties in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Hay Production & Management: Operating and maintaining haying equipment (tractors, balers, mowers, rakes, etc.) Cutting, baling, and stacking hay.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate tractors, skid steers, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery for ranch maintenance and improvements.
- Fence Installation & Repair: Build, repair, and maintain ranch fencing, gates, and livestock enclosures.
- Land & Road Maintenance: Construct and repair roads, perform dirt work, clear brush, and manage pastures for optimal grazing conditions.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose, repair, and maintain ranch vehicles, machinery, and tools to ensure operational efficiency.
- General Ranch Upkeep: Perform various labor-intensive tasks such as welding, irrigation maintenance, barn and facility upkeep, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years working on a ranch or in a similar agricultural setting.
- Skills: Strong mechanical skills with the ability to repair and maintain ranch equipment.
- Machinery Proficiency: Skilled in operating tractors, skid steers, backhoes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in extreme weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Work Ethic: Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid Driver’s License: Required, with a clean driving record.
Compensation:
