Registered Angus Operation looking for a self-starter with no less than 3 years of experience with all categories noted below. Must have at least 2 professional references with a total of 3 references. MUST HAVE mechanical skills and preferably one to two horses.
General Job description:
Must have an understanding and know how to care for livestock. Must know how to start and carry out haying operations. Also experience with fencing, moving cattle, calving, maintaining farm equipment.
Required Skills:
- Livestock: Diagnose sickness and administer antibiotics. Keep excellent records of birth weights and vaccinations. Move and treat cattle with low stress to the cattle.
- Haying: Must have knowledge and experience with running round bailers, square bailers, flood irrigation, pivots and side roles and how to maintain farm equipment.
- Fencing: Fixing fence and familiar with mountain fencing.
MUST HAVE valid driver’s license
House and Utilities provided – 2 weeks paid vacation after a year.
