Private equine facility with 48 horses on 132 acres of great grass, 4 ponds and oak trees. No outside or boarded horses – closed private quite farm. Horses only, currently no other animals.
Seeking a person or working couple (NON SMOKERS ONLY) that is an all-around very knowledgeable handyman and has equine experience AND if a working couple ideally a woman that will specialize in caring for the horses. NOTE – prepping this farm and horses for marketing prior to relocating. I will be putting this farm located in Texas for sale ASAP, then plan to move and build a new farm.
Initially, there will be a period of about 5-8 weeks to complete maintenance and repairs prior to marketing, then sell here and ideally you will assist with the move, building new equine facilities, and remain on the new farm permanently caring for the horses and facilities. I have totally built two farms in CO and TX in the past and look forward to the future and the adventure.
POSITION IS PERMANENT. Live on site, all utilities included (including high speed internet, WIFI and 42 inch TV with 220 channels/Dish TV), limited space for children.
Pay is commensurate with responsibility, maturity, abilities, and experience. $12,000 in bonuses.
The needs of the horses come first, period.
PRIMARY MAINTENANCE & REPAIR DUTIES: fencing, tree cutting and cleanup, mowing pastures with 15 foot batwing shredder, tractor/loader operating, weed eating fence lines, cleaning barns, power washing facilities -inside and out, minor carpentry/electrical/plumbing, welding and straightening damaged gates and panels, general mechanical and maintenance abilities that are necessary on a farm. I DO NOT EXPECT ONE PERSON to be able to do everything listed above, however must be able to perform most of the above list.
Seeking a person that realizes and believes that "thinking first" and then "working hard" is the correct method to do a project!
