Job Summary: As an integral member of the ranch team, the Ranch Facilities and Equipment Assistant at Bar Cross Ranch supports key elements of the ranch, from structures and buildings to non-ag vehicles and equipment maintenance (service/preventative).

Responsibilities: SAFETY – COMMUNICATION – LEARNING – SERVING – STEWARDSHIP – EFFICIENCY
- Safety – Equipment, Team Members, Livestock, and Surroundings
- Consistent, Daily, Above and Beyond Communication and Record Management with supervisor in coordination with the Ranch Manager, Operations Team, and Owner on all aspects of the Ranch
- Attend, study, and train on areas of responsibility as directed to improve knowledge and share ranch operation best practices continuously
- Assist and serve the ranch team, owner, guests and community
- Repair and Maintenance of Ranch facilities; including buildings, fences, corals, irrigation infrastructure, assigned equipment, and housing/landscaping
- Non-agriculture equipment and vehicle maintenance maintained in a safe and clean operating manner
- Stewardship, of the land and animals on it
- Execute all duties in an efficient and effective fiscal and operational manner
- Excellent time management in group and independent tasks
Duties of Position:
- Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, vehicle, mechanical, landscape, supply and general facility management, cleaning, repair and maintenance
- Interact with various contractors and specialists
- Assist with ranch operations as needed
- Assist with recreational events as needed
- Monitor pest control, maintaining regularly scheduled preventative measures
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Basic knowledge of landscape irrigation systems
- Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical
- Ability and Desire to learn and contribute to training, including new technology
- Computer, mobile device, and equipment technology experience
- 3 – 5 Years of experience maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, domestic and agricultural mechanical components, vehicles, irrigation equipment and landscape
- Available on-site on a regular schedule and during special flex periods to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Requires physically demanding activities including, hiking, lifting, climbing, and carrying heavy equipment up to 100 pounds while working in extreme weather conditions and remote areas
- Driver’s License and reliable transportation to working location
