Bartell Ranch
Honest, trustworthy, and hardworking ranch hand needed on family rural ranch. Position has a variety of responsibilities and you must be trainable in all aspects. Must be a self-starter who can work alone or with others always looking for what needs to be done. This is NOT an 8-5 job.
Whatever the cows/crops need must be done: tractor driving, fencing, pipeline repairs, etc.
45 miles from full services (Winnemucca NV). 6 miles to local school, gas station/parts store, churches and post office. All considered applicants must provide at least 2 references and pass a background check. Absolutely no drugs; applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Minor Mechanics: tractors, haying equipment, pickups, 4wheelers, welding, etc.
- Farming: grass, alfalfa.
- Irrigation: pivots, seasonal flood over large meadows
- Cattle work: feeding cows, fencing, branding, vaccinating, desert range management, water lines, etc.
This position will focus more on equipment operation and mechanic work than on the cattle.
Mechanical ability is a big plus.
Salary: $2,400/mo + free housing
Years of Experience preferred: 1 yr
