Bartell Ranch
Honest, trustworthy, and hardworking ranch hand needed on family rural ranch. Position has a variety of responsibilities and you must be trainable in all aspects. Must be a self-starter who can work alone or with others always looking for what needs to be done. This is NOT an 8-5 job however, normal working hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 6 days/week. Whatever the cows/crops need must be done.
45 miles from full services (Winnemucca NV). 6 miles to local school, gas station/parts store, churches and post office.
All considered applicants must provide at least 2 references and pass a background check. Absolutely no drugs; applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Responsibilities:
Minor Mechanics: tractors, haying equipment, pickups, ATVs, welding, pivot repair, etc.
Farming: grass, alfalfa, mix, gopher trapping, weed maintenance, swathing, raking, bale hauling
Irrigation: pivots, seasonal flood over large meadows
Cattle work: mineral/syrup runs, fencing, transporting, feeding cows/weaners, branding, vaccinating, desert movements, water lines, etc. We use both horses and 4 wheelers for cow work.
Mechanical ability is needed as there is always something to be fixed.
Salary: $2,400/mo + housing + utilities
