We are looking for a long-term employee who wants a great opportunity to live this amazing ranch lifestyle. We run 300 head of cattle in the western Badlands of North Dakota and we are looking for someone to help with all aspects on a working ranch.
Day-to-day duties of caring for livestock: feeding, doctoring, calving, tagging, branding, weaning, checking and maintaining water and fences, and all the other things cattle need. We plant about 1,200 acres for the cattle so tractor work including seeding, spraying, swathing, baling, hauling & stacking bales is required. Weed spraying, corral building and anything else the ranch may come up with! Mechanical experience is a plus. If you have experience, you know how it is.
We are looking for someone who works well alongside us but can be trusted to handle things on your own. We need someone who can be there to feed on the weekends. Six days a week most of the time, possibly 7 during calving and haying. We use horses and 4-wheelers, so this is not strictly a cowboy job. You can’t beat our community and neighbors!
There is housing on the ranch. A valid driver’s license is needed. Our ranch is located approximately 13 miles from Watford City.
