Our private, members only Rod and Gun Club, has a unique business opportunity for a couple to run the Club’s hospitality service business, lodge, and grounds care. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Northeastern Pennsylvania, our club has over a hundred year history of hunting, fishing and outdoor activities with a strong dedication to conservation. Est. 1901 we are seeking a couple to care for its 1250 acre property. We are family oriented with a diverse membership that is intent on carrying on the legacy of the club in terms of mission, service and quality. The 13 bedroom lodge is situated facing a private 350 acre lake with a private Caretaker’s home attached. The couple will be responsible for caring for the lodge, preparing meals for members and guests, housekeeping, grounds keeping around the lodge and in the woods when required, and general maintenance as needed. Additional duties may include various projects as may be requested.
If you are customer service oriented, have ever dreamed of running a bed and breakfast/restaurant, are handy, have a passion for hunting and fishing and being in nature, this is the opportunity for you!
General duties include:
- Cooking for members and guests.
- Housekeeping – Keeping the house clean and inviting.
- Managing finances for the kitchen, setting budgets, planning meals.
- Caring for the grounds (mowing, trimming, tree trimming and removal)
- Wild game and fish processing.
- Maintain the operation of the Club.
- Patrolling the property.
