🌾 Ranch Foreman – Full-Time
📍 Location: Creston, California
💵 Compensation: $27–$34/hour DOE+ vehicle use for work
🕒 Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (flexible for seasonal demands)
About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Ranch Foreman to oversee daily operations on a working ranch in Creston, CA. This hands-on leadership role involves livestock care, crew supervision, and equipment operation. Ideal candidates are experienced, mechanically inclined, and comfortable managing both people and animals.
We operate a rotational grazing operation with sheep and cattle. This involves setting up and moving electric fencing as well as water. we are looking to expand our current operation and become more efficient in what we do as well as install a 25-acre fruit and nut orchard in the next year.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee health, feeding, and care of livestock (cattle, horses, etc.)
- Coordinate veterinary care, vaccinations, and breeding cycles
- Supervise ranch hands and seasonal labor; delegate tasks effectively
- Operate and maintain tractors, ATVs, trailers, and other ranch equipment
- Manage pasture rotation, fencing, and irrigation systems
- Maintain accurate records of livestock and equipment use
- Communicate regularly with ownership and management regarding ranch operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of ranch or agricultural experience
- Strong mechanical skills and safe equipment operation
- Proven leadership and crew management abilities
- Familiarity with livestock health and pasture management
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage: $27–$34/hour
