Now Hiring: Full Time Ranch Manager & Backcountry Guide – Montana
Are you an experienced backcountry guide and dependable ranch hand? Are you addicted to the sound of bugling bulls and the thrill of the chase? Are you a “people person” with a can-do attitude? If so, we’re “on the hunt” for someone like you! Someone who takes pride in hard work and understands that outfitting is made up of early mornings, late nights, and doing whatever the day requires.
This isn’t a seasonal vacation job. It’s an opportunity to turn your passion into a career. In this position, you’ll be responsible for scouting new areas, blazing trails, caring for horses, setting camp, maintaining equipment, guiding hunts and ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.
What we’re looking for:
- Backcountry Guide: Must be physically fit and experienced in western wilderness environments.
- Talented Horseman: Must be comfortable riding, handling and caring for horses.
- Reliable Hand: Must be mechanically inclined and handy with tools.
- Beloved Host: Must be kind, considerate and a pleasure to be around.
What you’ll do:
- Guide backcountry hunts for elk, deer and bear.
- Pack, ride and care for horses in the backcountry.
- Set up and maintain camps.
- Repair and maintain hunting gear, camp equipment, vehicles, and ranch property.
- Scout, clear trails, plan routes and help out as needed throughout the season.
- Provide exceptional and memorable experiences for our guests.
