Bar NI Ranch
The Bar NI Ranch, a 37,00-acre private guest ranch located in southern Colorado in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range, is looking for couple to join their 2024 guest season team. The first position is for a server/porter working with in our kitchen assisting with prepping food, serving meals, washing dishes and sanitizing the kitchen. The second position is for a ranch hand doing such duties as building fence, maintaining trails, helping with our hay operation, maintenance projects, and some cattle work. Ideally this person would have experience with tractors and other large equipment. Neither of these positions are management positions and both require individuals that can perform an array of tasks that are physically demanding.
This is a guest ranch, so hospitality services come first and foremost for all positions. This not a “cowboying” operation. In the fall, we transition into elk hunting and the ranch hand will likely be assisting the hunt team with setting up blinds, retrievals, skinning and other related tasks. We are looking for applicants with excellent people skills that can communicate effectively and respectively with management, coworkers, and guests. These are demanding positions with long hours and varying days off that require individuals with a “ride for the brand” attitude and not an 8-5 with weekends off mentality.
At this time, these positions are seasonal and will begin now and run through mid to late November.
Compensation includes salary (DOE), housing including utilities, share of the tip pool, season end performance-based bonus, 401K options after a year of employment, and other perks. These positions are only available for a couple without children living at home due to the situation and housing accommodations. One well behaved pet may be negotiable but no guarantees.
