Camp cook needed in premier back-country wilderness elk camp. Spend the fall in the beautiful Teton Wilderness providing home cooked meals to groups of 8-10 people. Our camp set-up is very comfortable and well equipped considering we are 20 miles in the Teton Wilderness. Spacious well-tent kitchen with 6-burner and oven.
Our camp is accessed via horse, so at a minimum, you must be comfortable riding horses. Extra consideration will be given to applicants with previous horse experience and packing experience. Expect very early mornings and late evenings. Must keep a very clean kitchen, follow all bear safety protocols and assist with other camp chores as needed.
Our camp cooks are responsible for creating their menu, purchasing food, and packing food in box panniers.
Must be in good physical shape and able to lift over 50 pounds. Must be available from August 20th – November 3rd. Potential for summer cook employment as well, but in a different setting.
