Private Ranch located in Brown County, TX
We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and self-motivated domestic couple to assist with the management, maintenance, and care of a private ranch property in Brown County, Texas. This is a full-time, year-round, live-in position with housing and a work truck provided. The ideal candidates will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a private family environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Competitive compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Ranch Hand / Groundskeeper
The Ranch Hand / Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the ranch grounds, equipment, and exterior facilities to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well-presented.
Responsibilities:
- Mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance
- Fence inspection, repair, and installation
- Road, gate, and pasture maintenance
- Operation and basic maintenance of ranch equipment, tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles
- Minor repairs and preventative maintenance of ranch buildings and facilities
- Tree trimming, brush control, and weed management
- Monitoring property conditions and reporting maintenance needs
- Assisting with livestock, special projects, and general ranch upkeep as assigned
- Supporting property preparation before and after family visits and guests
Domestic Cook / Housekeeper
The Domestic Cook / Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the interior of the home and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for family members and guests.
Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common living areas
- Laundry, ironing, linen changes, and bed preparation
- Maintaining household organization and inventory of supplies
- Preparing meals for family members and guests during ranch visits
- Grocery shopping and stocking household necessities as needed
- General expense tracking
- Ensuring the home is guest-ready at all times
- Assisting with hosting and meal service during family gatherings and special occasions
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism within a private residence
Qualifications
- Prior experience in ranch, estate, caretaker, hospitality, or private household settings preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable living and working in a rural environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of the property owners
