Red Cliff Ranch
Red Cliff Ranch in Heber City Utah is looking for full-time, long-term, mature hard working couple with a passion for animals to live on-site. Two people are necessary, as the work scheduled is for two separate full-time positions with complementary strengths. One individual may focus more heavily on animal care, cleaning, ranch operations, while the other focuses on equipment, infrastructure, maintenance, projects, and property operations. Both individuals should be comfortable contributing wherever needed and working together to support the overall property. Equine experience is essential. Currently we have 8 horses, 2 donkeys, 3 sheep, 3 llamas, 5 cows, ducks, chickens, peacocks and 4 dogs.
RESPONSIBILITY: Twenty-four-hour security of property and animals, maintenance of equipment, property, and buildings. In addition mowing grounds, weeding ,clearing fallen trees, pasture management, fence repair, irrigation, plowing snow. Must be able to operate a tractor and snow plow.
ANIMAL CARE: As in all farm jobs, this is not a normal 8:00-5:00 job, it is a lifestyle. Working with animals, the unexpected always happens and more time is often required. Our main priority is the welfare and loving care of our animals.
Duties: Feeding, medicating, cleaning, doctoring, turn out, grooming, hoof care, keeping track of hay, feed and supplies, keeping health records, and holding animals for Ferrier and Vet appointments. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
BENEFITS: Housing provided, medical insurance, work truck provided. Must have clean driving record. Salary range for a couple, $70k-$80k must be non-smoker, no drugs, no heavy alcohol use, no physical limitations. Background and credit checks are required.
