Private Residential & Private On-site Equestrian Property

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Live-In Grounds & Maintenance Caretaker to oversee the year-round care and upkeep of a private residential estate with private equestrian facilities. This is a long-term opportunity for a self-motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining property, equipment, and systems to a high standard.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Facilities Manager and Property Owners, working collaboratively to ensure the property is maintained to a high operational and aesthetic standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Snow removal and seasonal grounds maintenance
• Lawn care, field mowing, and arena harrowing
• General repairs and preventative maintenance of buildings and infrastructure
• Operation and maintenance of skid steer, mowers, and related equipment
• Oversight of wells, irrigation systems, ponds, pumps, and septic systems
• Pond & fountain maintenance, including fish care and water monitoring
• Fence maintenance and general landscaping
• Coordinating service providers and contractors as needed
• Assisting with horses (5-10 pending season) as required, occasional feeding, mucking, and night checks

Qualifications

• Experience in estate, agricultural, or large-property maintenance
• Comfortable operating machinery and performing physical outdoor work
• Basic mechanical and handyman skills
• Experience with horses
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background & security check

Compensation & Living Arrangement

• Competitive salary (based on experience)
