Domestic Manager/Caretaker Position in the Northern Rocky Mountains of Colorado
We have a small private family ranch that is in need of a capable, hard-working, hospitable and extremely trustworthy caretaker couple who are able to help take care of many aspects of life here in the mountains with little supervision. This is a part-time residence for the owners, so you will be at the property alone many times.
The position (split between the husband and wife) includes:
Large and small animal care and attention to detail on their health and wellness.
Grounds-keeping and general care-taking
Repairs of equipment as needed.
General handyman work as things need repaired.
Some local snow plowing in the winter.
Overseeing the house and property when the owners are away.
Your priority will be the property, the house and the family.
Housekeeping (8500 sq ft living space).
Cooking (Meals including all aspects of meal plan; preparation, serving, clean-up) for the owners when they are at the house and for the occasional guests during visits.
Shopping/errands in town (keep house stocked with food/supplies).
Qualified applicants will have experience with animals (livestock and pets), grounds-keeping, care-taking, snowy winters and familiar with mechanical issues. Additionally, we are looking for people who are polite, clean-cut, do not get drunk, smoke or do drugs of any sort. There is a great opportunity for a long term position if you thrive in this environment.
We would like three professional references (if available) during the interview process. The position includes a private bedroom/bathroom with internet and cable television. You are welcome to eat with the family when they are there, but otherwise, you will provide your own groceries. Requires valid driver licenses. Background check and drug testing required. You will need a 4WD, reliable vehicle. Serious inquiries only.
The successful applicants will have a good stable marriage, motivation, maturity, experience, flexibility, trustworthiness, above average work ethic, no-drama. They will be self-starters, teachable, friendly, outgoing, accountable and like-minded with the family.
The property is an hour north from Ft Collins and an hour south from Laramie.

Gardening (in the Spring/Summer)
Preparing all meals for guests (when we have them)
Items as needed
When we have guests and you interface with them, you represent our family in your actions and we ask that you are mindful of that.
Your weekend schedule is determined by the family schedule/responsibilities. We try to let you have off on Sunday once the animals are cared for. Every month, you earn one day of paid vacation that can be used or saved. Days off must be approved and are dictated by the owners being able to cover for your absence.
Salary: $36,000 total
