Available positions in the Scenic Float Department at the historic Triangle X Ranch:

Scenic Float Guide
The primary responsibility of a scenic float guide is to provide safe, enjoyable, and informative interpretive float trips on the Snake River to visitors of Grand Teton National Park. Guides can expect to average 3 trips per day, with the average time of each trip around 3 hours (2 hours on the water). All rowing and maneuvering of the raft is the responsibility of the guide.

All selected applicants will be required to successfully complete our guide training before graduating as one of our professional river guides. Previous rowing experience is not required, but any oarsmanship experience will be given higher consideration. Due to the depth of training required to become a Scenic Float Guide, we ask new guides to be willing to commit two summer seasons as a Scenic Float Guide for Triangle X Ranch.
We are looking for outgoing, responsible, and hardworking individuals who excel in the customer service industry. Guides are expected to keep their equipment in excellent condition. Guides must be very safety conscious and work well in a team environment. Must be 21.


Scenic Float Driver
All drivers will drive 15 passenger vans with guests aboard while pulling a trailer loaded with a rubber raft, to a variety of raft launch destinations in Grand Teton National Park. All drivers will be responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the vans prior to each trip. Drivers assist with checking in guests and must be comfortable addressing crowds of 60 guests at a time. They are responsible for collecting Acknowledgement of Risk forms and filing them properly each day. All drivers will be responsible for providing a Park Service-approach safety speech and assisting in properly fitting life jackets prior to float guests’ departure. Vans will be cleaned inside and outside each day. Minimum age requirement is twenty-one (21) years.


Receptionist/Office Staff
The Triangle X Scenic Float office team is the looking for individuals who are customer service focused, detail oriented, and high energy driven. This is a role that requires the ability to multitask and follow through. The office team’s primary responsibility is to answer incoming calls and emails, as well as offer service to the guests of the ranch who are visiting the gift shop. The office also handles the check-in process for fishing trips, which includes the selling of Wyoming fishing licenses.

This is a high-volume atmosphere, fielding hundreds of calls/emails per day. Proper communication of details to guests is key to success. Teamwork skill are a must. Office staff often assists with fishing shuttles during busy months. Hybrid office/scenic float driver positions are also often considered. Minimum age requirement is twenty-one (21) years.


Scenic Float Cookout Cook
All cookout cooks will be responsible for the preparation, service, and storage of food for guests and employees in the Scenic Float Department. You will be cooking over an open fire at a riverside location in Grand Teton National Park. Scenic Float Cookout Cooks prepare dinner for about 60 guests, six days a week. They are also responsible for preparing sack lunches as needed. Cookout cooks are expected to deliver courteous service to guests, as well as maintain a clean kitchen, cookout site, cookout shed, and clean equipment.

Cookout cooks will also assist the Scenic Float Department with driving shuttles during slower times.
