Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated couple (or individuals) to serve as our Off-Grid Groundskeeper for a 51-acre property. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, working with the project manager to achieve our mission, and fostering relationships with contractors, employees, neighbors, and the community. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, comfortable with off-grid living, and passionate about promoting sustainable living and self-sufficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain off-grid systems (solar, water, etc.)
- Implementation of homesteading operations, including animal husbandry and gardening
- Supervise and implement sustainable living practices
- Engage with the team to support budgets, records, and inventory
- Ensure property safety and security
- Coordinate with local vendors and contractors for supplies
- Maintain housing structures, equipment, and tools
- Collaborate with video production team to document processes
- Meet regularly with leadership to discuss operations, changes, and new initiatives
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in off-grid living and homesteading management
- Strong knowledge of off-grid systems and sustainable living
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Physically fit for outdoor work in various conditions
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills preferred
- Familiarity with farming and permaculture principles
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
Salary: $5,000–$7,500/month DOE (for a couple). Compensation for a single individual will be adjusted accordingly.
