Qualifications:

  • Must have previous ranch experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Basic computer skills including email for communication
  • Agriculture Degree preferred but not required
  • Multiple years of Experience in Registered Cattle Operations
  • Hay Production, pasture management, rotational grazing experience
  • Herd cattle health
  • Knowledge of AI breeding and Embryo Transfer

Employer and Position Overview:

A-5 Cattle Company is a private, family-owned new start up cattle operation with multiple moving parts. We are based in Southwest Missouri. We are looking for individuals that are self-motivated and passionate about life and ranching to join our team.

We are seeking experienced support staff to help oversee an 1,800-acre ranch and another 120 acre background farm. The right candidates will be responsible for supporting operations of the entire facility including cattle, buildings, roads, pastures, machinery, gates and fencing.

Open to career-minded individuals with a good work ethic, good communication skills and are willing to help care for the property as their own.

Essential duties and tasks are listed below. These responsibilities are meant to be an overview of the position’s requirements and does not imply these are the only responsibilities required of the position. As needed, the candidate will be expected to perform any necessary duties in support of the effective operation of the ranch.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Fence construction, repair and maintenance
  • Assist with road maintenance
  • Clean up, maintenance and beautification of ranch
  • Maintenance and upkeep of ranch equipment, vehicles and facilities
  • Heavy equipment operations and maintenance (tractors, skid steers, etc.)
  • Assist with Hunting Operation maintenance
  • Assist Cattle Operations
  • Assist with property water availability

Work Schedule:

As the nature of the work requires, schedule will include working nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Schedule must be flexible to address ranch requirements outside of normal operating hours.
