Ranch Caretaker needed at our central Texas ranch. Grounds keeping, care for the facility is the primary role. Must have valid drivers license and pass background check.
Responsibilities:
Fencing and Facility Maintenance:
- Repair, and maintain fences.
- Maintain buildings to ensure they are safe and functional
- Clean equipment and facilities
- Perform general labor tasks as needed.
- Operate chain saw and other power tools.
- Mow property grass and weeding as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working on a ranch or farm is often preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, often in varying weather conditions
- Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment repair is beneficial.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to equipment, livestock health, and facility maintenance.
Work Environment:
- Conditions: The job will involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. It may require lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and handling animals.
- Hours: 40 hours workweek and may include weekends and holidays, depending on the needs of the ranch.
- Reports To: This position will report to the Ranch Manager.
Compensation: A salary of $31,000 and unfurnished housing with paid utilities.
