Job Overview:
The Chef at Sanctuary Ranch plays a critical role in our guests’ experience. We are looking for a person who is passionate about cooking and providing a pleasurable dining experience with the ability to work very long hours. The Chef should also have the desire and ability to professionally interact and socialize with the guests when not busy in the kitchen. The position is seasonal, beginning on or near August 16 and will end on or near December 1. This position is considered to be an independent contracted position that will result in Miscellaneous 1099 income requiring the worker to be responsible for his or her own income and social security taxes. Compensation includes a daily wage, on-site housing, meals, and gratuities.
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests and staff (20 – 35 people)
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
- Plan menu
- Inventory and order food and supplies
- Experience in Fine Dining
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work long hours
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds up and down stairs
