A private, family owned 900-acre ranch located near Castle Rock, Colorado – just 45 minutes south of Denver – is seeking an experienced, hands-on Ranch Manager to oversee daily operations and long-term land stewardship. This is a working ranch that blends functionality, horse and livestock management, and habitat conservation.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical aptitude, broad agricultural experience, and a deep respect for land stewardship and animal care. This is a full-time, on-site role for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-run ranch.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day ranch operations, pastures, fencing, irrigation, and facilities.
- Oversee care, feeding, and exercise schedules for horses and livestock.
- Operate, maintain, ranch vehicles and heavy equipment (tractors, ATVs, trailers, etc.).
- Coordinate contractors for maintenance, construction, and land-improvement projects.
- Implement conservation and habitat-management practices in line with the property’s easement.
- Track inventory, expenses, and animal health records.
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate effectively with ownership.
