Von Doeler’s Ranch
(May-October 2027)
WE’RE LOOKING FOR OUR 2027 RANCH COORDINATOR!
Not just someone who loves horses. Someone who’s ready to take on responsibility, learn, and grow into a leadership role.
For the 2027 season, Von Doeler’s Ranch in Rutherglen, Ontario, Canada, is looking for an experienced horseperson to join our team as a Volunteer Ranch Coordinator.
You’ll work closely with ranch owners Elana, Linda and Bruno von Doeler, helping coordinate volunteers, oversee daily ranch routines, support guest experiences, and keep things running smoothly.
WHO YOU ARE
- 18+ and confident communicating in English
- Experienced and comfortable handling horses
- Familiar with Western riding and equipment (preferred)
- Responsible, organized, and proactive
- A team player who isn’t afraid to take initiative
- Open-minded, eager to learn, and ready for a challenge
NO PREVIOUS LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE?
That’s not a dealbreaker!
We’re not expecting you to arrive knowing how to manage a ranch. You’ll receive comprehensive hands-on training to prepare you for the role, with ongoing guidance from Elana, Linda and Bruno.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a solid foundation with horses but wants to develop leadership skills, gain practical management experience, and take the next step in their equestrian journey.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
- Free shared accommodation and meals
- Comprehensive ranch and wrangler training
- Additional riding lessons and horsemanship development
- Opportunities to work closely with Elana and her horses
- Real hands-on experience in ranch operations and team coordination
WHEN?
Ideally May–October 2027, with a start no later than late May/early June. Longer stays are welcome, and exact dates can be discussed.
