Ranch, facility, and livestock maintenance. Some ranch experience required. Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. but is subject to change.
Must be hardworking, have a high attention to detail and an aptitude for working with livestock, heavy equipment, and ranch hospitality. There are opportunities to learn on heavy equipment, but it is not a requirement. Must be able to adapt to various tasks daily and communicate effectively within a high functioning team atmosphere.
Looking for someone who is people oriented, happy to help, and truly concerned about people and animals.
Ranch maintenance and upkeep is a large part of day to day priorities. Duties will include:
- Fence maintenance
- Mechanical maintenance
- Forestry maintenance
- Water system maintenance
- Road maintenance
- Electrical maintenance
- Snow removal and plowing in winter
As well as being a working ranch, it is a leadership training ranch as well, and will have guests on it year round. You will be expected to interact with guests daily and assist them with their needs as applicable. These include but are not limited to:
- Set up eating spaces for guests as needed
- Respond to guests maintenance needs and queries
- Helping move furniture, guest luggage or other items as needed
Salary is dependent on experience, housing is not included. The ranch is located an hour northwest of Reno, Nevada, in Beckwourth, California.
