Full time employee needed for small mechanized feedlot and general ranch work on a family ranch located in foothills of Rocky Mountains west of Augusta, Montana. Ranch is scenic 20,000 acres with calving herds of 500+ mother cows along with seedstock bull development facilities at small mechanized feedlot. No horses we only use ATV’s and pickups. One pet dog permitted.

Only qualified applicants need to apply:

** employee must be physically fit, able to complete tasks in time required,

**can operate large tractors,

**can run or learn to run a pivot system,

**operate or learn to operate haying equipment: rake, baler, etc.

**can do barbed wire fencing repairs in foothills country,

**cattle vaccinating, calf tagging, and sickness doctoring, we use low-stress cattle handling.

**Must have some experience on vehicle maintenance and some simple machinery repairs.

**Welding a must, some construction experience a plus, as is some building maintenance experience.

**learn to operate scale, mixer, conveyor belt/auger feedlot machinery and do 2x daily walks through cattle pens,

** Other ranch duties not listed as needed.

**Must be able to pass criminal background check and random drug testing.

Salary is negotiable $2,000 to $2,200 to start. Job includes a 1000 square foot 2 bedroom furnished house with small fenced yard, all utilities paid including fiber-optic internet, and 1/2 beef provided. Job can start mid-May.
