We are seeking a full-time Ranch Hand for a fast-growing cattle operation based near Gonzales, Texas. This role is hands-on and centered on daily livestock care, including doctoring cattle, assisting with calving, and supporting herd health.
Responsibilities also include transporting cattle, building and maintaining fences, and ensuring a consistent and reliable feed supply. Much of the work is conducted on horseback, so an interest in horsemanship is essential. The position involves rotational grazing practices and requires maintaining accurate breeding and herd records.
Candidates should be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working effectively as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude is preferred, particularly the ability to maintain and repair ranch equipment.
The schedule averages 45–50 hours per week and may include some weekend work depending on operational needs. This is a physically demanding outdoor role suited for someone who takes pride in their work and operates with a high level of accountability. We are looking for someone motivated to grow with an upstart operation and contribute across all aspects of the ranch.
