The Ranch is NW of Albany, TX, we are in Shackelford, Throckmorton, and Haskell counties, with roughly 35 miles of Clear Fork of the Brazos River flowing through the Ranch. The river meandering through the Ranch makes us a wildlife mecca, with plenty of brush diversity and a wide array of eco regions promoting a variety of native grasses and forbs for our wildlife. We are a strict wildlife focused Ranch, and we strive to manage the Ranch to better the habitat for our native species that call the Ranch home. We are looking for a hardworking couple to fill two open positions; competitive pay, health benefits, 401k, & PTO. Housing and vehicles included with the positions. Ranch Hand / Equipment Operator Position:
This position will be responsible for safe, effective, and efficient operation of heavy equipment to accomplish assigned projects in a timely and professional manner within the Ranch operations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, CTL/skid steers, excavators, motor graders, front-end loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, forklifts, and farm tractors
- Assist in the completion of land improvement and construction support projects such as:
- Building site preparation, installation of utilities, and post construction final grading
- Land/brush/fence line clearing operations
- Ranch road improvement, maintenance, and construction
- Pond maintenance and construction
- Perform routine inspection, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of heavy equipment
- Perform job duties while being mindful of safety for people, animals, and property
- Willingness and ability to assist with tasks outside of heavy equipment operation (including, but not limited to):
- Chainsaw work: tree and brush trimming
- Herbicide application: spraying weeds and brush along road edges and fence lines
- Hand tool work: shovels, rakes, rock bars etc.
- Mowing and trimming
- Other various tasks as assigned by your supervisor
Housekeeper/cook:
Responsible for all functions on all Ranch facilities, with focus on the highest level of cleanliness and always maintaining the utmost confidentiality.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste at dumpsters
- Clean and sanitize toilets, showers, bath tubs, sinks and counter tops
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas
- Change linens and remake beds properly
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Clean mirrors
- Vacuum and clean carpets and rugs
- Sweep, vacuum, mop and polish hardwood floors
- Do laundry and ironing
- Cleaning windows
- Clean ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Ensure all areas are neat and tidy
- Keep all housekeeping equipment clean
- Cooking for guests and staff meetings
