Large commercial and registered cow/calf ranch in North Central Washington is seeking a highly qualified ranch hand/foreman.  This is a long-term position that requires on site living and varying schedule.  Part time/ seasonal employment for qualified spouse is possible.  This is a hands-on job that will require physical as well as mental abilities to successfully perform assigned tasks.  Those tasks will include:

  • Calving
  • Haying
  • Fence and corral construction and maintenance
  • Equipment operation and maintenance
  • Gathering, sorting, roping, and moving cattle horseback
  • Basic to moderate mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment
  • Pivot irrigation operation, repairs, and maintenance
  • Other irrigation including K-line and wheel line
  • Vaccination and herd health
  • Feeding
  • Farming of hay ground
  • Welding
  • Water system installation and maintenance
  • App based recording of calving and other cattle records
  • Basic computer skills
  • Assisting with artificial insemination and embryo transfer

Some training can be provided for areas that the candidate is currently not qualified for and discloses at time of application.
