Double R Ranch
Large commercial and registered cow/calf ranch in North Central Washington is seeking a highly qualified ranch hand/foreman. This is a long-term position that requires on site living and varying schedule. Part time/ seasonal employment for qualified spouse is possible. This is a hands-on job that will require physical as well as mental abilities to successfully perform assigned tasks. Those tasks will include:
- Calving
- Haying
- Fence and corral construction and maintenance
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Gathering, sorting, roping, and moving cattle horseback
- Basic to moderate mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Pivot irrigation operation, repairs, and maintenance
- Other irrigation including K-line and wheel line
- Vaccination and herd health
- Feeding
- Farming of hay ground
- Welding
- Water system installation and maintenance
- App based recording of calving and other cattle records
- Basic computer skills
- Assisting with artificial insemination and embryo transfer
Some training can be provided for areas that the candidate is currently not qualified for and discloses at time of application.
