Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily care and feeding of livestock, including but not limited to: calves, cows, bulls, long horns, steers, horses, chickens and goats
- Participate in roundup and transport of livestock to market or new pasture
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep tasks around the ranch property, such as painting, mowing, trimming, weed eating, barn cleaning, brush cleaning, etc.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and electrical and swimming pool maintenance
- Working knowledge of septic, water wells, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
- Maintain ranch infrastructures such as fences, gates, ponds, granite roads, corrals, water systems, basic repairs, and maintenance
- Operate and maintain all heavy and ranch equipment including skid steers, tractors, trailers, zero turn mowers
- Self-Motivated and ability to operate independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Observant and Safety conscious in all decisions
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise
- Keep work sheds and company vehicle clean and orderly
- Other duties as assigned
