The Ranch Hand will work within the livestock and farming operations of a 20,000-acre (deeded and leased) mountain ranch which includes the responsibility and care of 500 head of cattle, horses, and irrigation systems. (including pivot, hand line, and flood).
Duties will include fence repair, farm equipment operation and equipment maintenance, calving, branding, and horseback cattle work requiring an appropriate understanding of how to handle livestock and effectively move cattle within grazing systems and to high mountain pastures. Knowledge of haying operations and equipment maintenance will be a plus for this position. The Ranch Hand will assist the Livestock Manager with other miscellaneous ranch work as needed.
