Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Ranch Hand to assist with the daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of our ranch & breeding operation. The ranch is family owned and managed. The ranch is approximately 400 acres and contains various breeding pens and large pastures. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Duties may vary based on ranch needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Animal healthcare as needed and directed
- Perform general ranch maintenance and upkeep
- Mowing, weed eating pastures, yards and gate entries
- Filling feeders, including hay and protein
- Ensure clean and reliable water supply for animals
- Fence line maintenance and repairs
- Hand or Pressure washing equipment and ranch vehicles
- Service and maintain ranch equipment and machinery
- Maintain houses on property
- Assist with additional ranch tasks as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous ranching or agricultural experience preferred
- Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors the majority of the time
- Willingness to take direction and follow instructions
- Availability to work weekends
- Must have reliable transportation
