Will help maintain equipment with ranch manger
Cattle responsibilities:
- Monitoring optimal day to day health and doctoring of cattle
- Calving pregnant cows including tagging calves
- Administering vaccines/treatments and coordinating with ranch manager
- Assist weaning and preconditioning calves/yearlings
- Provide feed, hay, water, supplements and mineral to cattle
- Practice low stress and efficient cattle handling techniques
Ranch and Pasture responsibilities
- Weed and brush control with chemical and mechanical applications
- Maintain hay in storage for winter feeding
- Maintain roads, fences, chutes and working cattle pens
