Trails End Ranch is a dynamic family-owned ranch operation located at the base of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains near Westcliffe Colorado. The ranch itself has multiple programs including guest vacation rentals, a stocker cattle program (600-800 head), farming (irrigated hay), and a full-service guided hunting program.
Trails End is searching for a well-rounded ranch employee or couple to evolve with the ranch through hard work, efficiency, honesty, and dedication to success. A strong candidate should have the following interest and strengths:
1. Must be Reliable and have positive attitude; 2. Openness to learn & accept responsibility; 3. have the highest integrity; 4. strongest of work ethics; 5. A propensity to finish with excellence
Background should include:
- Interest and understanding/experience with big game hunting, haying operations, irrigating cattle operations and general maintenance
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest of standards
- Mechanical & maintenance aptitude
- Communication & customer service skills
- General knowledge of mountain ranch operations and a desire to live near the mountains
What you will be doing:
- Guiding Elk, deer, antelope, and black bear hunts (in season)
- Maintenance of machinery, buildings, cabins, and grounds
- Fence building and maintenance
- Irrigating
- Machinery operations (hay & industrial equipment)
- Low stress cattle handling and cattle health
- Improving Trails End Ranch everyday
Responsibilities may evolve with the ranch overtime.
The opportunity is available for the right individual or potentially a couple to join this beautiful and exciting ranch. Compensation will be competitive and determined on a best fit basis.
