Help Wanted: Ranch Maintenance – Texas
Description:
Vaquillas Cattle Co. located in Aguilares, Texas has an opening for a Ranch Maintenance/Feed Truck Driver Position.
This position is for someone that is a skilled mechanic/maintenance to serve as support to our ranching needs including but not limited to operating machinery, maintenance & repair of property, equipment, fences and facilities. Also drive a feed truck and help with cattle working.
This position you will report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with GM on routine basis for jobs/projects
- Keeping up with routine maintenance on equipment: trucks, trailers, tractors, and other heavy machinery
- Operate heavy machinery as needed
- Operate feed truck
- Perform routine ranch maintenance such as building fence, repair water lines, welding or plumbing issues
- Perform routine maintenance on ranch equipment, oil changes, battery checks, lubricating all equipment parts
- Capability to identify and diagnose malfunctions on all equipment
- Repair and if needed replace malfunctioning components, parts and other mechanical/electrical equipment
- Maintain all maintenance records
- Be adaptable to an irregular work schedule, to possibly include evenings, weekends & holidays
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
