Nestled along the scenic Salmon River near White Bird, Idaho, C4 Ranch and Lodge is a premier hunting and outdoor adventure destination offering luxury lodging and guided big game hunts.
Ranch Manager/ Caretaker/Cook:
Looking to hire someone to cook, clean, and help caretake a ranch in White Bird, Idaho. The applicant would act as caretaker, cook, and house keeper for the property which consists of the main house, caretaker residence and ranch land.
The main duties of the job are providing house cleaning and maintenance on a regular basis, turning over rooms when guests check out (laundry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms/toilets/floors, etc.), keeping common areas neat and clean, the ability to cook upscale casual, and handle all aspects of the kitchen (cleanliness and organization are a must).
This is not a 9-5 job and can require long days during hunting season. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, energetic, able to work independently and is customer service oriented. A ranch vehicle will be provided when required for work.
Work Requirements Include:
- Housekeeping – maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lodge throughout the hunting season, clean and prepare guest bedrooms and bathrooms between hunts, help ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
- Cooking: prepare high-quality, ranch-style meals for groups of 8 to 10 guests
— Breakfasts: Continental breakfasts as well as hearty breakfasts.
— Lunches: Prepare sack lunches and field-ready meals for guides and hunters.
— Dinners: Plan and prepare appetizers, main courses and desserts. - Equipment knowledge and maintenance is a plus
- Making suggestions and recommendations to the manager regarding maintenance and enhancements to the property
- Good Communication Skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Flexibility to work weekends during hunt season (September to December)
- Valid Drivers License in good standing
- English language fluent (verbal and written)
- Trustworthy
List of tasks including but not limited to:
- Prepare meals during hunt season (September – December)
- Prepare to-go lunch in the morning
- Cooking meals for owner or owners’ guests when needed
- Ordering food and food storage organization
- Keeping common areas clean and tidy
- Cleaning rooms and bathrooms
- Laundry
