New Mexico Ranch Manager and Hunting Guide

Employment Opportunity:

  • Full-time year-round salary employment
  • Manage 20,000 deeded acres
    • Cattle and elk area located near Pie Town, NM
  • Housing and vehicle provided
  • Medical insurance provided
  • Cattle grazing available
  • Combination of ranch management, wildlife management, hunting guide, and client-hosting position.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Low / cattle fence surveillance and maintenance
  • Varmint control
  • Road and property maintenance
  • Equipment operation (excavator, dump truck, skid steer, etc.)
  • Blind and water hole maintenance
  • Exterior and interior cleaning of lodge and areas surrounding lodge
  • Wildlife scouting and monitoring movement as well as maintaining and reviewing game cameras.

Preferred Skills:

  • Guiding and / or elk and mule deer hunting experience. Archery experience and elk calling experience a plus.
  • Basic experience with carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
  • Knowledge of wells and water systems
  • Welding experience
  • Mechanical and equipment maintenance and upkeep
  • Machinery operation
  • Work independently

Compensation:

  • $60,000+ annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, the position includes a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated total compensation value of approximately $85,000+, including housing and other benefits.
  • Tips and gratuities from hunting clients provide an additional earning opportunity and are paid in addition to salary and benefits.
