Ranch Manager – Full-Time (On-Site Housing Provided)

Salary: $60,000/year + Free On-Site Housing (Required)
About the Property:
600-acre private ranch in scenic Afton, WY, featuring 3 cabins (one with year-round renters), a large barn, two ponds, and about 7 acres of irrigated grass. The managers home is nice. The ranch is used seasonally by the owner and requires year-round care—including some snow plowing in the winter.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Ranch Manager to live on-site and take responsibility for all aspects of ranch operations and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone experienced, self-reliant, and mechanically skilled who enjoys independent work and rural living. On-site residence is required in the provided private home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mow, water, and care for ~7 acres of irrigated grass
- Oversee and maintain two ponds
- Perform maintenance and repairs on cabins, barn, fences, and equipment
- Plow snow in winter (driveway, ranch roads)
- Operate and maintain ranch equipment (mowers, tractors, plows, etc.)
- Coordinate with contractors or service providers as needed
- Monitor and maintain rental cabin with year-round tenant
- Provide regular property updates to the owner
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in ranch or rural property management
- Strong mechanical and handyman skills
- Able to operate heavy equipment and perform general repairs
- Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working alone
- Valid driver’s license and clean background check
- Winter/snow maintenance experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60,000 annual salary
- Free on-site housing in a private house (must live on-site)
