Ranch Manager Couple – Full-Time (On-Site, Year-Round)
Location: Afton, Wyoming
Compensation: $50,000/year + Housing (Required)
Overview
We are seeking a highly capable, self-sufficient ranch manager couple to take full ownership of a private ranch property.
This is a hands-on role, not supervisory. The right couple will operate the property day-to-day with minimal direction and maintain a consistently high standard across all areas.
This position requires a long-term, full-time commitment on-site. It is not seasonal or rotational.
What This Role Requires
You will be responsible for ensuring the property is:
- Fully functional (nothing broken, everything operational)
- Well maintained (grounds, structures, equipment)
- Consistently clean and organized (homes, cabins, work areas)
Core Responsibilities
Irrigation & Grounds (Daily Priority)
- Monitor irrigation systems daily and ensure full coverage
- Identify and correct dry spots, leaks, or inefficiencies immediately
- Maintain grass and landscaping to a high standard
Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain tractors, mowers, side-by-sides, and other equipment
- Perform routine and intermediate repairs (mechanical, plumbing, electrical)
- Keep all equipment in ready-to-use condition at all times
Property Upkeep
- Maintain roads, fences, buildings, and general infrastructure
- Proactively identify and address issues before they become problems
House & Guest Readiness
- Maintain homes and cabins in clean, ready condition
- Handle cleaning, linens, and turnover as needed
General Management
- Work independently without daily oversight
- Coordinate contractors when required
- Take full ownership of property condition
Required Qualifications
- Must apply as a couple willing to live on-site full-time, year-round
- Proven experience managing a ranch, estate, or large property
- Strong irrigation and equipment experience preferred
- Comfortable working in remote conditions and Wyoming winters
- Self-directed, reliable, and detail-oriented
