Ranch Property Manager
Employment Type: Contractor (open to a single individual, or couple).
Location: Near Taos, NM
Very competitive salary($80k+), FREE housing in brand new private two bedroom onsite home. Open to providing a relocation allowance as well.
Amazing once in a lifetime opportunity to run a privately owned, 5,000+ acre ranch in the beautiful landscape of Northern New Mexico. The Ranch is located 40 min by car west of Taos, not far from the Taos Ski Valley.
Requirements:
Manage all operations of the ranch property including the maintenance and cleaning of all existing homes/cabins (5) on the property, bison facility, gardens, grounds, roads, fences, water system/tanks, irrigation system, wells, etc. Assessing the condition of the ranch’s facilities and equipment to determine if they need repair or replacement. While previous experience with livestock (Bison) would be a big plus, it is not a requirement.
The Ranch Manager is also responsible for paying the bills for gas, diesel and hay in the winter. In addition, the Ranch Manager takes care of paying the property taxes, renewal of leases for the water rights and finding any local workers if necessary.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, reliable, responsible, intelligent, mechanically inclined (electrical is also a big plus) and able to work independently with little direction. Good communication and problem solving skills are a must.
