Staff Cook
Seeking a Full-Time SEASONAL Staff Cook for a private ranch in Montana.
This individual needs to be flexible, able to plan, shop and cook for approx. 12 staff. Three meals a day are not expected, though well stocked food/ingredients, for quick healthy meals are a key responsibility. Room and board provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meal Preparation:
- The ability to cook large volumes of healthy food in a timely manner.
- Plan, cook and stock the freezer with quick healthy foods for staff.
- Follow recipes and ensure food quality.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
- Manage inventory and purchase food supplies.
- Assist with kitchen setup and cleanup.
- Properly measure, portion, and cook all food items in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper rotation of product.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong cooking skills and experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- A positive and hardworking attitude.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Some kitchen experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate must be available to work Mid-May/June through August.
- Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and evenings with flexibility
- Able to work both independently and to take direction.
- Basic CPR and First Aid (Training is provided).
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience
- Current driver’s license.
- Pass a background check
- Smoke/Vape/Drug Free workplace
- Must be 18 years of age
- Legal to work in the US
