Experienced wrangler and packer looking for an outfit in mid or southern Idaho, northern Utah, or SW Wyoming. I’m looking for a Summer and fall packer and or wrangler position working for either a dude Ranch or an outfitter. My preference is packing camps, fishing trips and leading trail rides in the summer and doing drops camps and hunting camps in the fall. I am not a guide but I am able if needed and do have Good hunting gear. I am available as early as needed until as late in the season as needed.
Experience catching, grooming and tacking horses, horse health and care, leading trail rides, giving interp, hauling horse trailers with manual transmission trucks, navigating extremely rough and steep terrain, packing in small strings alone, setting camps, camp jacking, some camp cooking, excellent guest service skills. Have won a safety award and am accident and incident free. I have my own saddle and some tack, saddle bags and chaps, rain gear and cold weather gear. I also have experience with general Ranch Work.
