We are looking for a full-time ranch hand for a 460-acre ranch non-hunting exotic ranch near Paluxy, Texas. Ranch hand is needed to assist with general ranch duties and the two main business aspects of the ranch: exotic livestock and hay production.
Salary: Competitive salary is DOE
Housing: not included at this time (potential for ranch hand housing in future) but a housing/vehicle allowance included with salary.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Ranch Manager with projects around the ranch
- Skid steer and other equipment operation
- Maintenance of ranch equipment and machinery
- Maintenance of ranch facilities, roads, lawn areas
- Maintaining supplemental feed stations and water sources
- Pasture management and hay production
- Check and maintain fences, gates, and pens
- Exotic livestock observation and management
- Brush and invasive vegetation management
- Predator control practices
Qualifications:
Qualifications include but not limited to:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass background check
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
- Must be able to work without supervision and as a team
- Prior experience with basic welding, electrical, and plumbing is a plus but is not required
