Rose Valley Ranch
In the summer we play hard and enjoy healthy delicious meals. The ranch is remote being 55 miles from Laramie and and an hour and a half from a Whole Foods. We are able to order meat and fish and already have accounts set up.
This job entails cooking for the owners and guests while at the ranch. While not at the ranch the chef will be needed to do some cooking and food shopping in Vail. Our permanent home is in Vail, Colorado. We eat a very healthy organic diet at all times “if possible.” There are some allergies to be dealt with as well as adhering to a low salt diet.
The amount of diners can range from 2-15. When at the ranch we also provide meals for all ranch hands. There are 2 in staff working at the ranch that help with house cleaning, horses, ranch chores and aid the cook in the kitchen with some prep and clean up.
We require that the chef be available at all times during the summer to head to the ranch even last minute. We are at the ranch sporadically in June and July, come August the chef will be at the ranch for the entire month through labor day.
We want a culinary trained chef that can vary the type of cuisine and diet on a daily basis. This includes Asian cuisine, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, good old American (fried chicken) etc. etc. The chef is responsible for all ordering and maintaining a fully stocked pantry and fridge. There are accommodations at the ranch and accommodations need to be secured in Vail.
