Ranch in South-Central KS seeks experienced farmer/ranch hand to work in the daily operation of a Registered Black Angus Ranch.
Duties include: Cow/Calf and Dryland Farming. Knowledge of farming equipment, cattle care, calving, cattle health, equipment and fence maintenance. Cattle handling experience is required. Be able to handle cattle easily in a low stress environment. Emphasis on roto mixer feeding and putting out round bales in various pastures. This is a family-owned operation with owners present, we have no place here for horses we gather with cuber, gators and four wheelers, nonsmoking, must have valid driver’s license and CDL a plus during harvest. This is not a business office role strictly “hands on” livestock and farming role, operating all kinds of tractors, implements and cattle trailers.
Position requires valid work references. Must be willing to work long hours in all kinds of weather. This is not a contiguous ranch, pastures and farmland require working weekly in multiple locations. This is a positive healthy work environment with working owners.
Salary: $45k-$65k annual based on experience, 2nd & 4th quarter bonus. Housing allowance may also be available.
