Helicopter Aerial Application Crew Member Wanted

Vertical Vegetation Management, LLC. is a company specializing in aerial application and forestry management with helicopters. We are in search of a CDL Driver and a NON CDL Driver to employ for the driving and operating of helicopter fuel and chemical loading trucks. This is a seasonal position with opportunities for full time.

As a CDL crew member you will be operating a 4500-gallon straight truck tanker that on occasions pulls 5400-gallon pup tanker. Trucks have a helipad on top for the chemical loading and refueling of helicopters. See example pictures. As a NON CDL Driver you will be pulling a Spray Trailer behind a 3/4 ton pickup truck. Trailers have a helipad on the top for loading chemicals and refueling of helicopters. Both jobs are divided between ground duties of mixing chemicals to be applied, the planning and execution of ground equipment logistics about the work area, and appropriate record keeping. Work areas can be confined to counties all the way out to multiple states in the eastern USA. Normal operations over a month would be for example: work in a 150-mile radius in South Carolina for a farmer/ consultant for 15 days and then make a long move to Georgia where we would work a 100-mile radius for a different farmer/consultant for 20 days. You are expected to be ready for work at daylight and can expect to work until dark. We operate a fair amount of time under an agriculture exemption from DOT logbooks. Long hours are not rare since we start at daylight and quit at dark. It is also not rare to be headed to the hotel at 10:30am because wind and then go back out for an hour or 2 in the evening if the wind dies down. THIS IS FARMING SO BE READY TO WORK LONG HOURS WHEN THE WEATHER ALLOWS.

You are the face of the company with their feet on the ground working directly with the customer. You will need a positive, professional attitude and appearance.

  • Take a week off after corn and then start forestry in GA/FL/SC/NC until Mid-November.

  • $45/Day Per diem
