Ranch Hacienda Caretaker Couple
Location: Southeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented couple to oversee the care, maintenance, and daily operations of a private 14,000-square-foot Hacienda located on a beautiful ranch southeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The ideal candidates will take pride in maintaining a high-quality property, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and possess a strong work ethic. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on team that can work independently, anticipate property needs, and ensure the Hacienda and surrounding grounds are consistently maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Exterior Property & Grounds Maintenance
- Perform routine exterior building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, gardens, and surrounding grounds.
- Manage brush clearing, weed control, and general vegetation maintenance.
- Perform seasonal snow removal and property winterization.
- Oversee routine swimming pool and tennis court maintenance.
- Maintain outdoor living spaces, patios, walkways, and recreational areas.
- Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate with outside contractors when specialized services are required.
Interior Hacienda Management & Hospitality
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the 14,000-square-foot Hacienda.
- Perform routine housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and general household upkeep.
- Prepare quality home-cooked meals for owners and guests as needed.
- Accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, including sugar-free, gluten-free, low-carbohydrate, and dairy-free diets.
- Assist with grocery shopping, meal planning, and household inventory management.
- Perform light interior maintenance and coordinate professional repairs when necessary.
- Prepare the Hacienda for owner and guest arrivals, ensuring the property is clean, comfortable, and fully operational.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and well-presented environment throughout the property.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience in private estate management, ranch caretaking, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong housekeeping, cooking, and property maintenance skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain basic landscaping and property maintenance equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
- Professional, trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of owner privacy.
- Flexible and accommodating to the needs and schedules of owners and guests.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
