White Ghost Ranch
White Ghost Ranch, located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, is seeking a hardworking, dependable Ranch Hand Couple to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a couple with experience in registered cattle operations who enjoys ranch life and takes pride in caring or livestock, property, and guests.
This is a hands-on role that assists with virtually every aspect of ranch operations. The ideal couple will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with other team members.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Monitoring the health and safety of our cattle and whitetail deer; assist with AI, darting, and fawning season and keeping accurate records.
- Fill feeders; perform general ranch, fence, and vehicle maintenance
- Monitor wildlife activity; help guide hunts and clean harvested animals.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, skid-steers, tractors, and dozers, for use in property maintenance, construction projects, and land improvement
- Experience with planting, cultivating, and harvesting small grains and hay, including equipment operation and seasonal planting.
Hospitality & Ranch Support
- Housekeeping of lodge, cabins, and guest accommodations
- Meal preparation for ranch guests, hunters, and special events as needed
- Inventory management and organization
- Supporting ranch operations during busy seasons
Requirements:
- Must be dependable, honest, and in good physical condition
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to undergo a background check
- Able to work independently and with others
- Experience in overall ranch operations is a must
- Mechanically inclined is a plus
Additional Information:
- Ranch truck provided
- On-site apartment available; paid utilities, cable and trash pick up
- Paid vacation after a year
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Personal dogs and pets are generally not permitted due to the whitetail breeding operation
- The ranch is not equipped to accommodate employee-owned horses or livestock.
